At Estuary Life, our mission is to provide an environment for learning about God's creation through science and natural history using our estuary system in and around Wolf Bay with hands-on inquiry-based experiences to enhance character education and earth stewardship.

At Estuary Life, our participants:

  • Engage all five senses in investigating Wolf Bay aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
  • Explore native plants and animals to cultivate understanding and appreciation of the natural world.
  • Discover creative and practical applications of classroom concepts that enhance cognitive learning of standards-based content material.
  • Learn to celebrate God's creation and foster stewardship through respect for each other, oneself, and the environment

The Estuary Life Environmental Education Program is an earth stewardship education program sponsored by Camp Baldwin. In Fall 2009, Camp Baldwin decided to take a leadership role in environmental education by introducing Estuary Life.

Our interdisciplinary curriculum is correlated to Alabama state teaching standards. Classes are taught by our trained Naturalist Educators who demonstrate a passion for life-long learning and the exploration of creation.
